    How Long is too Long?

I am looking at getting a new barrel for my marke and was wonder if there is a realy big differance inaccuracy compaired to  length. I heard from a friend that heard from a friend that 16" is about as long as you should go, is this true?

Actually I would say 14. Depending on what you play and gun your shooting.

I just bought a Indian Creek Designs Promaster and am looking at the barrel upgrade for it. I use a 114 ci  3000psi Remote tank. I do try to stand back a little bit so that my size does not get me shot.

I have been use a 16" Tiller on my Spyder and it has worked great. Is there any reason that you prefer the 14"?

Anything past 12 or 14 inches and you have to use more air/pressure to propel the ball to get it near that magical 280 range, but as for accuracy as long as it is longer than 3" and less than 3 feet a good paint to barrel match matters more than length.  Size is always a preference but the 12 to 16 inch range is about dead even.

Fo sho,... to what Wycked said. I would reccomend 12" or less for speedball or close quarter games, because a longer barrel would be hard changing hands, and manuvering around bunkers. But if your into woodsball, anything works. It's really more of a personal choice, you won't really notice that much of a difference between 12" or 14" barrel. 2 inches is only this much ,    -----------------------------------------------.

ive seen a 4" stiffi that is as accurate as 14" barrel...

...that 4" used alot more air though
